Community guidelines

GroundTime is built on trust. Everyone here is verified airline crew, and these guidelines exist to keep the community safe, respectful, and useful. If you see something that doesn't feel right, report it. We review every report.

Be respectful

Treat fellow crew the way you'd want to be treated after a long haul. No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or intimidation of any kind. Disagreements happen — handle them with professionalism.

  • No personal attacks, slurs, or inflammatory language.
  • No unwanted advances or inappropriate comments in meetup chats.
  • Respect boundaries. If someone isn't interested in a meetup, leave it.

Stay safe

We verify everyone, but you should still use good judgment. Meet in public places, let someone know where you're going, and trust your gut.

  • Meet in public, well-lit locations — especially if it's your first time meeting someone.
  • Share your plans with a friend or colleague.
  • Don't share personal contact info, hotel room numbers, or home addresses in chats.
  • If a meetup feels off, you can leave at any time. No explanation needed.

No private messaging

All communication happens inside meetup group chats. This is intentional — it keeps interactions visible and accountable. Don't try to circumvent this by sharing phone numbers, social handles, or other contact details inside chats to take conversations private.

Keep it crew-only

GroundTime is strictly for verified airline crew. Don't invite non-crew guests to meetups without making that clear to everyone attending. Don't share app content, screenshots, or meetup details with people outside the community.

Meetup etiquette

Show up if you say you'll show up. Crew schedules change — we get it — but ghosting repeatedly wastes other people's time.

  • If your plans change, update the meetup or let the group know.
  • Be on time. Crew time is limited time.
  • Respect the meetup organizer. They set the tone.

What we remove

We don't tolerate behavior that makes the community feel unsafe or unwelcome. This includes:

  • Harassment, threats, or intimidation.
  • Hate speech or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, or any protected characteristic.
  • Spam, scams, or solicitation of any kind.
  • Sharing personal information about others without consent.
  • Creating fake profiles or attempting to bypass verification.

Account conduct

Your account is tied to your verified identity. Don't share your login, and don't create multiple accounts. If you're no longer active crew, let us know — we'll help you transition your account appropriately.

Reporting issues

See something wrong? Report it directly in the app or reach out to hello@groundtime.com. We take every report seriously and will follow up as quickly as we can.

Enforcement

Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the platform depending on severity and history. We make these decisions carefully and fairly, but our priority is always the safety and trust of the community.

These guidelines may change as the community grows. We'll notify members of material updates.
